About The Position Terra Mining are currently seeking a Safety Advisor with experience working at open pit mining projects to join our growing Safety team at our projects in the Kalgoorlie Region of Western Australia.
Duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for supporting the delivery of advice, planning, support, and training of HSET activities to all site operations.Assist with reports on a weekly and monthly basis.Work collaboratively with site management to achieve HSET goals.Provide innovative ideas that improve the HSET applications across the site.Advise and implement occupational HSET policies systems and procedures across the site.Provide a high degree of standard in HSET operations work to the appropriate for systems, processes, and critical controls.Conduct risk assessments to identify suitable controls for that work, and follow-up verification for control effectiveness.Coach and mentor site personnel in the use of risk assessment tools.Maintain site HSE procedure and standards.Complete inspections and audits as required.What You Will Bring Tertiary qualification in health and safety.Tertiary qualifications in environmental studies (desirable).1-2 years' operating within HSET role at surface mining projects.Applied knowledge of relevant federal, state, and other regulatory requirements, as well as industry standards and practices.Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail with incident investigations.Able to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with a strong inclination towards developing co-operative solutions.Experienced using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project), SharePoint and Teams.What We Offer Permanent Full-Time position.Family friendly 8&6 roster.FIFO from Perth (earn Virgin Velocity FF points).Camp and recreation facilities provided.Competitive salary.A positive team culture that values SAFETY.Ability to Salary Sacrifice Superannuation.Employee Referral Program.Work for a fast-growing company.To Apply We are selecting our team members right now, so don't let this be a missed opportunity to be part of Terra Mining's success story.
