About the role We have a crucial role for one of our key clients, seeking an experienced HSEC Specialist/Adviser across their underground mining and ore processing operations in regional WA.
What Will You Be Doing? Facilitate development and implementation of safety improvement plan Facilitate development and implementation of safety systems updates Manage OHS matters to ensure the timely achievement of H&S plans and Management system compliance Provide specialist OHS advice, assistance and support to all site leaders and personnel Facilitate Safety System and Control audits and inspections, formal incident reviews, OHS activities and assist in the preparation of supporting documentation Development and audit OHS procedures in line with corporate guidance and objectives. Ensure occupational health and safety issues are considered in all aspects of duties performed Maintain high standards of performance and adopt a proactive approach to occupational health and safety issues Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, company policies and practices Facilitate and/or consult on incident investigations and analysis using the incident investigation system (ICAM) and assist to meet allocated timeframes and outcomes If successful, you will be rewarded with:

Cert IV in WHS or higher 5+ years Safety Advisor experience in a mining environment – preferably with underground and ore processing experience Investigation Methods (ICAM and Timeline 5 Whys methods preferred) Training and Assessment Qualifications well regarded Familiarity with incident reporting databases and investigation tools Structured, system-level thinking Organized and able to maintain good documented records All candidates must be willing to meet full compliance, including registration, undertake pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing, provision of Australian working rights and 2 x references.
