Safety Adviser

Schwarz Excavations are seeking a motivated
Safety Advisor
to join our team based in Central Queensland. As a Safety Advisor, you will provide oversight and management of the various projects undertaken, ensuring that these activities conform to the intent of the Safety Management System.
About the Role:
Liase as appropriate with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and other persons.
Provide health, safety, and environment management services for Schwarz Excavations in line with current procedures and guidelines.
Ensure that services comply with relevant legislative requirements and support a safe and healthy work environment.
Provide technical safety services including accident and incident investigations.
Conduct WHS Audits.
Perform risk assessments and rehabilitation management.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
Acquire and maintain the skills and knowledge relating to the Safety Advisor role.
Pre-Requisites of the Role:
Significant demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety functions within a complex and diverse organisation.
Diploma in Work Health and Safety, and formal incident investigation (preferred).
5 years' experience in a related business.
Proven verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Focus and commitment to a zero-harm environment.
Car Licence.
White card.
