About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, National Safeguarding Unit you will undertake data analysis and prepare safeguarding reports relating to high risk client incidents across the Disability and Mental Health directorate. You will also provide administrative and executive support to the Executive Director, Safeguarding by collaborating and supporting safeguarding initiatives and projects within the National Safeguarding Unit. This is a maximum term contract opportunity to June 2025, location is flexible.
Key Responsibilities Prepare safeguarding desktop reviews across critical high risk mattersUse data to identify and report systemic issues that relate to quality and complianceContribute to the preparation, development, and delivery of NSU projects and BAU initiativesUndertake data analysis and prepare thematic reports relating to high risk client incidentsCoordinate Client Death Review process and panelsKeep abreast of best practice and emerging trends and interpretations of legislative and regulatory requirements that may impact LWBs business and quality assurance strategiesMaintain SharePoint sites and other tools for the NSU, including functionality for calendars, message boards, and document repositoriesComplete data input, analysis and reporting, compiling information from existing systems, Client Services and other sourcesProvide timely, effective diary management by prioritising and organising meetings, with internal and external stakeholders for the Executive Director, SafeguardingCoordinate agendas, minutes, and action items for meetings.Arrange travel and accommodation for Executive Director, Safeguarding and reconciliation of monthly expenses incurredSkills & Experience Demonstrated experience in project coordination and management, including incident management reviewsProven understanding and practical experience in the disability sectorDemonstrated experience with MS Project Online data structures and strong analytical skills for effective data interpretationUnderstanding of project methodologies and best practices, such as PRINCE2 or similar frameworksStrong interpersonal skills that foster positive working relationships and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholdersWell-developed problem-solving skills with the capability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvementsAbility to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, demonstrating integrity and honestyExperience managing competing priorities to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standardsMeticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in all tasksExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in report generation and public presentationsAdvanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, enhancing overall project management and reporting capabilitiesSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
