About the role The AssistantDirector, Workforce – Executives & StrategicProjects is responsible for leading a high performing teamwho deliver advisory and operational services to executivesin workforce planning, organisational and job design,recruitment and selection of employees who are the best fitfor their workforce needs and culture.
With a strongfocus on human centered approaches to contemporaryworkforce issues, the Assistant Director will proactivelywork to identify improvement opportunities to transform theexperience of candidates, employees and leaders such thatthey become advocates for the department as an employer ofchoice.
Through theprovision of operational and strategic leadership theAssistant Director will drive P&C strategy andinitiatives in central divisions, particularly as itrelates to getting the right people, in the right place, atthe right time.
Qualificationsand competencies: Strongmanagement and leadership skills with proven experiencedeveloping high-performing teams and establlishing aculture of excelllence. In-depthknowledge of contemporary human resource strategies andpractices that enable organisational outcomes. Highly developedinterpersonal and relationship building skills withdemonstrated success in achieving change throughcollaborative practice, negotiation and influence.

SpecialConditions: Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior tobeing employed which is required to be renewed every five yearsbefore expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertakeRRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect- Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extendedcourse which will be required to be updated every threeyears.
