Focus of the role The Technical Project-Senior Specialist will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the National Site Acquisition, Environment and Design (SAED) team, providing strategic advice and leadership and collaborating with internal and external partners to facilitate successful delivery of the Wireless Program Management Office (WPMO) programs of work.
What you'll do Lead and Provide Expertise: Offer subject matter expertise and leadership in Site Acquisition, environmental planning, property, and design management processes.Strategic Guidance: Advise on Telstra's CMTS deployment activities, especially on contentious sites.Escalation Point: Serve as the escalation point for contractors and internal staff facing property and planning constraints.External Interactions: Manage interactions with landlords, government bodies, and third-party site providers.SAED Strategies: Develop national-level SAED strategies to achieve agreed build targets.Property Matters: Facilitate escalated property-related issues.Compliance and Regulation: Collaborate with Compliance and Regulatory teams on legislative changes.Process Improvement: Innovate and improve SAED standards and processes.Communication: Update and guide Regional SAED teams on process changes.National Forums: Participate in national SAED forums and report on issues.Stakeholder Communication: Ensure effective communication with stakeholders on project progress.Team Collaboration: Identify process improvements and cost benefits.Staff Development: Assist in developing staff, providing mentoring and training.Project Participation: Contribute to the delivery of defined projects.Special Conditions: Identify special conditions related to projects.Reporting Tools: Develop tools to track key program deliveries.What you'll bring Expertise in Site Acquisition: Deep understanding of property, environmental planning, civil design & construction methods.Legislative Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Federal/State legislation and guidelines.Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.Analytical Skills: Experience in community consultation and dispute resolution.Highly Desirable Consensus Building: Ability to drive consensus among stakeholders.Initiative and Leadership: Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously.Problem-Solving: Ability to devise practical solutions.If you're excited about the opportunity to be part of a team committed to delivering amazing experiences to our customers, this could be the role for you!
