As a Lecturer in our Computer Science Courses, you will inspire students to excel academically, enriching their learning experience and preparing them for thriving careers in their field of study.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, subject-relevant lectures and practical workshops that inspire students and equip them with cutting-edge skills.Provide personalised academic support, mentoring and guiding local and international students through their creative projects, providing constructive feedback to foster innovation, technical proficiency, and artistic excellence.Contribute to the design and development of accredited higher education curriculum, ensuring it meets accredited standards and is attuned with industry trends, collaborating with industry professionals to integrate emerging technologies and techniques into course content.Actively promote SAE's achievements, students, and staff within the professional community to strengthen the Institute's profile, engaging with the wider creative industry to maintain SAE's strong connection to current practices and opportunities.Contribute to academic research and industry engagement, leveraging connections within the creative media sector to enrich the learning experience and promote student opportunities.QualificationsOur ideal candidate can demonstrate skills and experience in the following criteria: A postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level (or higher).A high level of professional industry practice in creative media industries with an established portfolio of work.Teaching or training experience either in a higher education or professional environment.Experience in IT and Cyber Security Fundamentals.Technical Knowledge - Grounding in cybersecurity principles, networking, databases (SQL), hardware, and software fundamentals.Teaching Experience: Ability to convey foundational IT and cybersecurity concepts effectively and guide students through practical, hands-on exercises (if applicable, those that align with CompTIA certification standards).Software Development Fundamentals.Methodology Expertise - Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, particularly Agile methodologies, and familiarity with tools such as JIRA for project management.Practical Experience - Demonstrated experience in software development or systems analysis, including using Agile frameworks, requirements gathering, and project scoping.Communication Skills - Strong ability to teach both the technical and collaborative aspects of software development, emphasising real-world applicability.Tools and Resources - Proficiency in using industry-standard tools for software development and project management, such as JIRA, Trello, or other Agile management software.Passion to assist students reach their full academic potential while providing an outstanding student experience.High level of agile critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, met with outstanding organisational and communication skills.Additional InformationAt SAE our employee perks and benefits include: Unlimited global career opportunities across the Navitas portfolio.Flexible working arrangements.Salary packaging and novated leasing.2 paid volunteer days per year for your passionate causes.Health & well-being packages including free counselling and well-being specialist support for employees and family members.Discounted gym memberships, private health insurance, movie tickets, travel, hotels, insurance and selected retailers.Access to LinkedIn Learning and professional development opportunities.Diversity Equity and Inclusion:
