About the job We are seeking a skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen our digital safety and resilience. In this role, you will lead monitoring, auditing, and compliance efforts aligned with industry recognised benchmarks such as the South Australian Cyber Security Framework (SACSF).
You'll provide expert guidance on cyber risk assessments, incident response, and governance, ensuring our IT security controls remain robust and adaptive.
You will advise on technology risks, support strategic security initiatives, and stay ahead of emerging threats to safeguard our organisation's digital environments.
This position also plays a vital role in shaping our Cyber Security Program, training initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in our cyber security posture.

You will:
Put safety above all else through maintaining awareness of your obligations in accordance with SA Water's WHS Roles and Responsibilities Procedure. Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement of IT security controls across the business. Contribute to the Cyber Security Capital Plan by maintaining awareness of industry trends, threat assessment activities, and training. Identify cyber security initiatives benefiting the business when technical debt or improvement opportunities exist. Contribute to Information Security Governance by delivering security assurance reviews against the CSP calendar and ensuring that the assurance activities are proportionate to risks. Ensure that allocated projects comply with necessary internal and external standards, acts and regulations, guidelines and design requirements. Your success in this role will come from: Minimum of 3 years operational experience in a similar role - Essential University degree or other formal qualification in cyber security or related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience - Essential Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities – Essential Demonstrated experience in incident response protocols – Essential Possessing an ability to influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders – Essential Experience developing and maintaining continuous improvement systems and assurance programs Re-engineering process improvement experience, leading and governing improvement projects Further information can be found in the attached PD – Senior Cyber Security Analyst .pdf
