The Procurement & Contract Manager leads the development of policies and strategies that contribute to the overall Procurement Services SA procurement framework and advice.
The incumbent represents the Unit / Directorate / Department in senior level and / or inter-agency delegations and negotiations pertaining to procurement, is responsible for the provision of high-level specialist advice and leadership, which ensures the delivery of efficient and effective procurement services for SAAS.

Access to a range of staff and wellness support programs!Key Responsibilities : Manage and coordinate the delivery of procurement and contract activities, projects, and plans aligned with SAAS objectives and deadlines.Provide expert procurement advice, information, and reports to the Executive Director Corporate Services, governance committees, and SA Health when required.Establish and review contracts, ensuring timely execution, implementation, and identification of savings opportunities.Develop and implement policies, standards, and best practices to support SAAS's procurement activities and enable an appropriately skilled workforce.Manage contract and supplier / provider performance, including monitoring Key Performance Indicators, resolving issues, and renegotiating terms when necessary.Engage and manage relationships with stakeholders across the public and private sectors, negotiating and liaising on procurement programs while considering operational, political, financial, and strategic impacts.Application Information : Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply for this role.The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
