Experienced Structural Engineer | Full-time | AdelaideGreat team environment and workplace cultureWell respected engineering consultancy with over 37 years in the industryMining, ports and transport infrastructure projectsFlexibility to work from homePosition Scope Due to ongoing business growth, we are looking for a mid to senior level Structural Engineer to join the team. Based in Adelaide, you will work on a range of mining, ports and transport infrastructure remediation design projects across the country.
This is an opportunity for an engineer to further develop skills and experience working on a wide range of projects. You will be supported by mentoring, training sessions and visits to construction sites. When not required on site, you will have the flexibility and be equipped to work from home.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a highly regarded and established consultancy that values its staff and invests in their professional development.
Key Responsibilities Work on ongoing critical projects with a key focus on safety and qualityWork on structural design and load rating projects including analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelworkAct as client contact as appointed for specific projectsConduct site inspections to identify structural defects and scope upgradesLiaise with staff members in our other officesOther tasks as allocated by senior staffSelection Criteria Whilst there will be on-the-job training and the opportunity for career progression, you will ideally have:
Degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringMinimum seven (7) years' of industry experienceCompetent using structural analysis software packages i.e. SpaceGass, Strand7Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management and project deliveryExperienced with site inspections and defect identificationHold or be working towards CPEngHighly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsBe currently residing in Australia with associated full working rights if applicableHold membership with Engineers AustraliaAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamFluent in written and spoken EnglishApplicants who do not meet ALL of the Selection Criteria will not be considered.
