About the RoleAs a S&S Banking Consultant, you are to assess the financial needs of customers and provide options to meet those needs in pursuit of specific sales, service and connected customer targets including addressing customers' transactional banking needs.
Role Location: Mt Ommaney Branch, 171 Dandenong Rd, Mt Ommaney QLD 4074
Role Type: Permanent, 20 hours Flexible Part Time
What will your day look like?As a S&S Banking Consultant, you will:
Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending using the agreed sales process.Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager for initiatives to improve sales performance of the store.Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication with customers and recommend appropriate options using the agreed sales process.Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals, and transfers) in an efficient and accurate manner.Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day-to-day banking (e.g., ATM, Phone Banking, Internet).Support and demonstrate a risk management culture in line with Suncorp Bank's values.Proactive identification and escalation of risks and issues related to your role responsibilities and adherence to Suncorp Bank's complaint resolution process to resolve matters, maintain high service standards and mitigate further risks/losses.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales & service environment.Experience in delivering high quality customer experience.Demonstrated ability to use customer and commercial acumen to enhance overall performance across people, customer, and risk measures.Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal).Demonstrated ability to work as a supportive team member.Committed to self-development and opportunities to increase capability in role.Computer literacy and navigation skills.Attention to detail – accurately checking and processing tasks and showing concern for all aspects of the role.Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both orally and in writing.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
