About the role Join the New Number One Hotel in the Mid North Coast – Rydges Port Macquarie is located in the heart of Port Macquarie on 1 Hay Street, overlooking the breathtaking Hastings River.
Having recently renovated all 99 hotel rooms, we are on the hunt for a trade experienced Maintenance Manager to join our leadership team.
We are looking for a trades or handyman background, willing to roll their sleeves up and keep the hotel operations ticking for both our guests and our team.
You will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests, carrying out preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate records and managing the department (including one other share employee).
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills, be able to use hand and power tools competently, and have an understanding of OH&S standards.
Key Role & Responsibilities include: Respond to maintenance requests, at times dealing with contractorsCarry out preventative maintenance tasksPerform daily rounds and ensure building systems and assets are in working orderMaintain accurate recordsSkills & experience Successfully manage and deliver AFSSAttention to detail and accuracyAvailable to work weekends and rotating shiftsAbility to prioritize and organiseClear thinking and problem-solving skillsPrevious experience in a maintenance or trades roleStrong work ethicIf you're interested in keeping up to date with all available positions at EVT, including cinemas, hotels, and Thredbo, you can sign up for our weekly job alerts.
