About the role This is a maternity leave position for 8-10 months.
We are seeking a positive, friendly and professionally presented team player with impeccable attention to detail, a passion for service and making the day better. As part of the finance team you will assistto ensure the effective and efficient collection and allocation of the accounts receivable ledgers in a timely manner in order to maximise cashflow and minimise doubtful or bad debts.
Key responsibilities :
Issue invoices on a daily basisKeep systems up to date with correct contact detailsEnsure that applications for credit are processed according to the established Group policies and proceduresCorrectly allocate, based on a remittance advice, all deposits (including cash, cheques, credit card andEFT deposit payments) made into the bank accounts on a daily basis into the PMS system in either the accounts receivable or deposits ledgerContact and collect all funds from individual, government and company accounts that sit outside the agreed credit terms of each propertyEnsure credit card transactions are reconciled on a daily basis by using the detailed bank merchant reporting to match individual transactions in the PMS.Promptly reconcile client and credit card inquiriesAnswer both email and phone calls regarding the issuing of customer receipts and invoices and attending to guest queries of credit card chargesLiaise with each hotel financial controller to process refunds to guests due to overcharging or over paymentLiaise with all departments within the hotel to make sure all open folios are closed in a swift mannerTo administer and process accounts receivable revenue adjustments, ensuring appropriate authorisation has been given before processingGuarantee the numerical accuracy of all payments made to credit accountsAt EVT, we want our people to experience our businesses and be brand and experience advocates.
