his specialised rural general practice located in the township of Manjimup, is seeking a full time general practitioner to join the team of a busy, established practice.
The practice is in a Distribution Priority Area (DPA) MM5 location, in the town of Manjimup, in the heart of the South-West and the beautiful Warren Blackwood region. With a population of more than 9,000 people, Manjimup is 294km south of Perth.
Manjimup is culturally diverse and incorporates a mixture of agriculture, farming, and mining. It's the premium food bowl of the state, has stunning beaches and majestic forests. Those who reside there know just how lucky they are to live, work and play in this magic part of the state.
The Practice
A privately owned practice that was purpose built with a specifically designed procedural room offers mixed billing, on-site pathology, and allied health services. They are dedicated to providing the local community with a professional medical service that is kind and personalised. A great opportunity to practice general practice obstetrics and/or anaesthetics.
The practice is heavily involved in teaching final year medical students through rural placements and the rural clinical school based in Bridgetown. There is also a steady rotation of GP registrars. Mentoring the next generation of doctors is part of the practice ethos.
The Requirements
Emergency: Desirable.
Participation in the on-call roster including in-patient services (desirable but not essential)
Vocational registration (RACGP or ACRRM fellowship)
The Package
Remuneration percentage is negotiable depending on experience
Independent contractor agreement
Country Health Innovation (CHI) incentive payments for suitably qualified applicants
Flexible leave by negotiation - times to suit both the doctor and the practice
Fully furnished accommodation for rent near the hospital (availability of these units varies depending on demand)
