We are currently recruiting for a full-time Rural Land Assessor with a strong interest in developing best-use land-based solutions combining agriculture, forestry, and carbon while ensuring environmental sustainability.
The right candidate will be a self-motivated people person who has strong communication skills, experience in assessing land productivity potential, and is comfortable in negotiation processes. You will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of individuals, from landowners to investors, making each day unique and rewarding. A candidate with existing networks in the Tasmanian agricultural sector would be desirable.

The Rural Land Assessor role is part of our team based in Launceston, Tasmania.
The Role in Summary: Generate new leads and networks across the Tasmanian agricultural sectors Manage and participate in promotional events and activities statewide Assess properties for their eligibility and feasibility in our plantation carbon programs Work closely with our acquisitions and carbon team to ensure the investment meets the needs of all stakeholders and is of the highest integrity Negotiate agreements with prospective clients Assist in managing subsequent establishment and maintenance programs Requirements: Minimum of three years of commercial land-based management in the agricultural, rural, forestry, or property industry Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and/or Forestry Science, Environmental Management, or a related field is desirable Full and unrestricted private motor vehicle driver's license Willing to work extended hours or stay overnight where necessary Other Information: A competitive salary and benefits package will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on experience and capability.
