Position: Ruminant Productivity Consultant
Reports to: Executive Team (General Manager, Managing Director)
Clientele: Farms within key dairy regions of South Australia & Victoria
Role Purpose: As a Ruminant Productivity Consultant, you will manage and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their productivity and profitability through tailored herd nutrition strategies.
You will also develop new business opportunities and expand our client base.
Key Responsibilities: Tailor consulting plans to individual clients and provide clear, written adviceDevelop annual feed budgets and offer financial business analysis referralsMaintain open communication with clients, ensuring timely responses and scheduled on-farm visitsDevelop growth strategies focused on financial gain and client satisfactionPromote TRAC's products and services, addressing clients' objectivesConduct research to identify new markets and customer needsSet and achieve sales targets, continuously improving through feedbackKey Performance Measures: Nutritional and productivity consulting to 25 clients.Direct sales to approximately 12,500 cowsObtain 4 referrals per month for future sales opportunitiesOrganize and manage Young Farmers TRACtion Focus Group eventsDevelop and distribute monthly tech papers under the Tech Talks headerSkills & Qualifications: Solid agricultural background with an understanding of ruminant nutritionLivestock industry knowledge, including current trends and key participantsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenTertiary qualifications in a related field or relevant experience (3-5 years in animal husbandry/consultative sales or 2-3 years in ruminant nutrition)Proficiency in MS Office and CRM softwareExcellent time management and organizational skillsCurrent driver's license is essentialWhat to expect: 80% fieldwork and 20% office-based dutiesTravel expectation of 4 days per week, with a limit of 3 nights away per weekCompany-provided vehicle, mobile phone, and laptopBe assured, your application will be handled with complete confidentiality.
