Key ingredients to ensure success in the role: · Experience in both cold & hot vulcanization rubber linings
· Sand blasting and painting skills desired
· Competence in the use of grinders, buffers and rubber working tools & equipment
· Ability to apply rubber linings to pipes, spools, launders, agitator blades, chutes, tanks, valves, hoppers and similar items
· The ability to read and follow drawings
· Attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
· Surface preparation of rubber and metal materials
· Rubber lining various items from chutes to pipes & valves
· Ability to cut thin and thick rubber by hand
· Ensure all equipment is maintained & stored in good working condition
· Ability to cut and line complicated shapes
· Promote safety by working and adhering to company safety guidelines which includes (but is not limited to) the proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment, materials and the use of personal protective gear
· Oversee and guide standard operating procedures and participate in quality control testing processes.
Essential Requirements for the role: · Demonstrated commitment to safety
· Minimum of 12 months continuous experience as a Rubber Liner, ideally in mining or a similar industry
· White Card
· Confined Space (Within 2 years as it is a site requirement)
· Working at Heights (Within 2 years as it is a site requirement)
· Overhead Gantry Crane (Desirable)
· Forklift (Desirable)
· Mask fit testing
· Australian Drivers License
· Unlimited Australian Work Rights
