We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team and contribute to the efficient financial management of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software. Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Process invoices and expenses and ensure timely payments to vendors and staff. Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and record receipts. Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies. Generate and analyse financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets. Prepare financial statements for review by management. Extract relevant information for preparation of FBT return. Prepare quarterly BAS statement. Identify areas for cost-saving and process improvement. Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits. Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes. Education Requirements:
Essential
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Completion of TAFE or Business College administration course. Demonstrated Experience & Attributes:
Essential
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Workday) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
