Reporting to the Superintendent Load and Haul , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our open pit mines. You will ensure that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and sustainably. You will be instrumental in fostering a safety-first culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Duties: Oversee load and haul teams to meet production targets and objectives. Drive a safety-first approach to ensure compliance with all safety protocols and environmental policies. Allocate resources effectively, including equipment and personnel, to achieve optimal production outcomes. Monitor production operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize mining processes and resolve operational issues. Conduct and participate in regular team meetings, providing training and development opportunities to team members. Prepare and review production reports, ensuring accurate data recording and analysis. Skills and Experience: Prior experience in a load and haul supervisor role within an open pit mine. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of mining operations and equipment, including up to 800-tonne dig units. Schedule 26 qualification is highly desirable.
