8/6 days only roster | FIFO from Perth to the Roy Hill Mine Performance, Retention and Profit Share Bonuses Company contribution towards private health cover for employees and immediate family 18 weeks paid Parental Leave for primary caregivers About the role: The Process Plant team is currently seeking a Superintendent Processing Production to join them on an 8/6 FIFO roster based at the Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Manager Production, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to maintain and improve the operational performance of the processing plant, inclusive of isolations/permitting, operational training and non-process plant operations. The role will collaborate with peers locally and across the system to drive optimal system performance, whilst promoting and fostering positive relationships within the Roy Hill organisation to drive a safe and inclusive team culture.
This position has 3 direct reports of Production Supervisors and will lead a wider team of 33 dedicated Operators and coordinators.
Duties: Provide short to medium term operational and production direction to the Processing department, to ensure maximum sustainable business profit and achievement of business goals. Lead the delivery of a quality permitting and isolation service, working to optimise and improve supporting business systems. Ensure the production team delivers a safe and effective isolation service, with specific focus on shutdown planning and delivery. Ensure training material is fit for purpose, comprehensive and delivered in a timely manner to ensure a competent and confident workforce. Manage and report on Processing team risks, including escalation of risks to relevant stakeholders and identification/execution of containment or remediation plans where required. Active participation in the development of accurate and informed production schedules and plans, identifying opportunities to maximise production and ensure sustainable process operation. Work collaboratively with business peers to manage risk, implement change and improve overall safety performance and Processing team culture. Skills and Experience: Extensive experience in a mineral processing operation or related industry. Experience in supervision or leadership in a similar operational environment. Bachelor's Degree in engineering or similar technical field, or a demonstrated combination of training and work experience. Sound technical understanding of mineral processing operations and fixed plant equipment operation. Sound budgeting and forecasting experience, including demonstrated ability to manage operational expenditure budgets. Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act (2020) and the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations (2022). Mine Site Facilities: Modern, comfortable camp accommodation.
