RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatric and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

The Position:
Applications are invited for several fixed term Registrar positions with flexible start dates. These positions are full time, but part time options will be considered.
Position 1 – 12 months (commencing February 2025)
T1: RCH Unit TBA + T2: After Hours/Nights/Annual Leave + T3: Monash Haem Onc + T4: RCH RespiratoryPosition 2 – 9 or 12 months (commencing February or May 2025)
T1: RCH Unit TBA (optional) + T2: Monash Nights/RCH Relief Cover/Annual Leave + T3: Box Hill + T4: Monash EDPosition 3 – 6 or 9 months (commencing May or August 2025)
T2: RCH Adolescent Medicine (optional) + T3: After Hours/Nights/Annual Leave + T4: RCH OncologyMinimum of 2 years clinical paediatric experience including 6 months of neonatal ICU.
Alignment to Training:
Subject to DPE approval, these positions are accreditable for Basic Paediatric Training for individuals who are already within the training program. These positions are also accreditable for General Paediatric Advanced Training.
