The team inhabit a heritage listed Chalmers Church located in the heart of the Launceston CBD. A convict-built landmark that was thoughtfully restored into a functional open plan office, staying true to the gothic revival architecture that makes this building truly unique.With sunlight streaming through the original stained windows, Chalmers is a vibrant and stylish office that's also reflective of the fun and supportive culture of our team.About the RoleThe Rostering Officer will work closely with the Delivery team and is responsible for utilising systems and rules to build and publish accurate rosters for our guides, hosts, skippers, crew and drivers across all of our walks. Whilst ensuring that trips are adequately resourced, you will also work towards realising improvements to our rostering systems and processes.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Utilise rostering systems and rules to build and publish accurate staff rosters in a timely mannerWork with the relevant managers to address any rostering conflicts, such as shift changes and staff availability, and find suitable solutions that uphold operational requirements. Monitor, analyse and report on staffing data to identify trends, recommend needs and improvements to rostering processes and support the Regional Experience Managers with the identification of resourcing needs.Provide ongoing training and support to staff members regarding rostering inquiries, changes, and concerns.Maintain up-to-date operational documentation, including rostering procedures and guidelines.Provide ongoing support and implement fatigue management strategies to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of casual staff members, fostering a positive and healthy work environment.Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient rostering outcomes.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.Stay informed about industry trends and developments in rostering practices to ensure best-in-class service delivery.What you will bringThis is an excellent opportunity for an individual experienced in scheduling and rostering. You will be adaptive, process driven and highly organised.
