About this opportunity:
The Rostering Officer provides accurate and timely rosters to CYF employees by rostering according to staff contracts to ensure hours are met and according to specific shift and client service needs.
Key responsibilities of this role:
Ensure shifts are filled in a timely manner and in such a way as to ensure minimum disruption to client supports
Audit timesheets fortnightly for payroll processing
Advise and support Case Managers in the population of and updating of rosters
Set up and manage ongoing rosters for all employees and ensure that shifts are filled in a timely manner with support from line managers
Process annual leave and availability requests in consultation with Case Managers
Ensure hours worked by employees are monitored to ensure employees are working within any industrial relation obligations and awards
Ensure shift allocations comply with contract requirements, minimum training/credentialing requirements and client preferences
Coordinate rostering of new employees to ensure that they undertake on-site induction training and shadow shifts.
Respond to and appropriately manage employee queries regarding their rosters
To succeed in this role you will have:
Experience and/or understanding of rostering (essential)
Ability to interpret the SCHADS award and any other relevant legislations (highly regarded)
Intermediate skills in the use of Client Information Management Systems such as Visual Care (highly regarded)
Flexibility to work between the hours of 6am to 6pm on a rotation roster
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and self-manage workloads to meet competing deadlines
A commitment to providing a solution focused approach and attitude
Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
