Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Team as the Roster Clerk at Naracoorte Hospital

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a knack for managing schedules?
Naracoorte Hospital is seeking a dedicated Roster Clerk to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the smooth operation of our health services by managing staff rosters and ensuring appropriate staffing levels across the hospital.
Role Overview:

As the Roster Clerk, you will: Maintain the day-to-day rostering and scheduling of all staff across Naracoorte Hospital.
Manage the backfill of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) deficits that arise from the monthly rosters under the guidance of Managers.
Arrange coverage for unplanned leave such as sick leave and bereavement leave, working under the direction of Managers or the After-Hours Team Leader.
Ensure continuity of health services by deploying appropriately qualified staff to areas of need.
Update and manage the ProAct computer database with any roster adjustments.
Provide administrative support to your colleagues by answering phones and assisting with other office tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and circumstances, maintaining a customer service focus.
Strong problem-solving skills and clerical aptitude, including numeracy, literacy, filing skills, and keyboard proficiency.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with appropriate telephone etiquette.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated understanding of promoting a positive work culture and ability to adapt to change and flexibility.
Previous clerical or receptionist experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and use of office equipment such as fax machines and photocopiers.
Previous experience working in a hospital environment is preferred.
