About The Royal Sydney Golf Club The Royal Sydney Golf Club, a private members club, is fortunate to be considered one of Australia's most prominent social and sporting institutions, having proudly hosted a number of world-class sporting events including the Australian Open on 15 occasions and the 2011 Davis Cup.
It is recognised nationally and internationally for its world-class sporting facilities which include two golf courses, 18 tennis courts, bowling greens, croquet lawns, squash courts, snooker tables, a gym, swimming pools, cafes, club bar, a dining room, 18 accommodation rooms, and multiple function rooms.
The Role: Reporting to the Clubhouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking all public area and housekeeping duties in an efficient and professional manner to achieve the highest level of member satisfaction whilst contributing to effective Club operations.
This is a part-time role offering 20-25 hours per week, requiring flexible availability to work shifts between 6:30am starts until 1:30pm finishes during the week and on weekends.
The key tasks include: Cleaning public areas such as lobby, lift, stairways, and toilets in the Club. Ensuring all trolleys and housekeeping equipment are clean, tidy, and stored appropriately at all times. Liaising with various departments to achieve an organized and cohesive approach towards daily operations at the Club. Conducting duties such as delivery of linen, towels, and roll-away beds. Responding to member and guest requests in a prompt and professional manner as directed by your manager whilst maintaining and upholding the values of the Club. Manual handling to assist with the setup of events and functions. Additional tasks in stores will also be required - managing deliveries and storage, maintaining a systematic and hygienic cleaning schedule, delivering stock to appropriate areas of the Club. What does the Club need from me? Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or other similar role gained within a quality hotel environment is essential. Ability to work well in a team as well as independently. Self-motivated and enthusiastic. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised and able to meet deadlines.
