As a non-profit Community Based Centre the Centre is governed by a parent committee and Managed by a Director. Our purpose-built centre for long day care has five main rooms that are organised according to the ages and developmental stages of our children.Each room is managed by experienced, trained and qualified Educators.We're now hiring for Childcare Workers and Room LeadersAbout this role:This position prepares, delivers and evaluates developmentally appropriate education and care programs for individual children or groups of children in care, whilst ensuring consistently high standards and compliance with the National Quality Framework are maintained. You will have to ensure that staffs who work in your room are working in accordance to policy and procedures, as well as this you will need to ensure they are included in planning and programming.Job Responsibilities:·Ensure all members of the team are working harmoniously to provide the best care to the children.·Maintain an open, honest, and encouraging relationship with staff.·Be attentive not just to the needs of the kids but to the people working at the childcare, as well.·Follow the National Quality FrameworkJob Description·Communicating and Delegating Tasks with Staff·Coordinate the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs·Ensure all day-to-day activities are consistent with the requirements of the National Quality Framework·Accurate record keeping pertaining to any accident, incident, injury, illness or medication.·Develop, plan, implement and evaluate education and care programs based upon written records, and the observations of individual children·Supervise, support and guide all workers and students·Develop, implement and evaluate children's daily routines including arrivals, departures, eating, sleeping, cleaning up and meals as required·Attend staff meetings, professional development and parent meetings, as required·Facilitate the transition of new and existing families to and from the service·Maintenance of records pertaining to observations of individual children's progress·Inform parents/guardians about the development progress of their children as appropriate·Monitor children's wellbeing and safety throughout the day, and perform First Aid as required·Coordinate and direct junior workers engaged in the implementation of programs and activities in a group setting, and provide mentoring and coaching to assist others with their studies·Other duties as directed by the Director or Assistant DirectorSkills and Experience Required:1.Hold or able to obtain a current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)2.Hold or willing to obtain qualifications approved under the National Quality Framework, including first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis training3.Well-developed oral and written communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality, records and information4.Diploma level or higher education level education and care qualification approved under the National Quality Framework (or working towards)Location- Northern TerritoryPosition type- Full TimeSalary: $62,342.80 per annumAbout this role:You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and fun environment the kids. Your duties include coming up with creative and educational activities, preparing and serving snacks to children and maintaining a clean environment for the children under the supervision of the room leader.Job Responsibilities/Description:·Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing nappies as necessary·Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day·Preparing meals and snacks for the children·Organizing activities and developing curriculum for older children·Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day·Keeping records of each child's progress, interests and any problems that may occur·Maintaining contact with the children's parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency·Follow the National Quality FrameworkSkills and Experience Required:·Valid CPR and first-aid certifications·Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children·Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians·Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages·Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a timeLocation- Northern TerritoryPosition type- Full TimeSalary: $53,134.64 per annumChefAbout this role:We are seeking an experienced chef who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children in our purpose-built and fully equipped kitchen.
