ROOM ATTENDANTS
Hamilton Island, located in the Whitsundays, Queensland, is seeking Room Attendants to join our busy Housekeeping team on a full-time permanent basis.
This position is responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene in assigned areas in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and without direct supervision. The role requires service in an enthusiastic and friendly manner, meeting productivity standards and guest satisfaction needs.
Responsibilities include: Cleaning and independently conducting final inspections of assigned rooms to uphold cleanliness and guest comfort standards in alignment with SOPs.Responding to guests and staff needs in a prompt and courteous manner ensuring guest satisfaction is met at all times.Efficiently cleaning assigned number of rooms or areas in keeping with departmental standards.Ensuring all linen and toweling used for guests are clean with no stains, rips, or tears. Following departmental procedure for identifying damaged linen/toweling and its removal from circulation.Recording and handing lost property items to the relevant Supervisor/Manager in a timely manner.Keeping trolleys, housekeeping equipment, vehicles, and service areas stocked, replenished, clean, and tidy at all times, including disposing of rubbish appropriately.Securing guest rooms, ensuring doors and windows are closed when room cleaning is complete.Advising the relevant supervisor or manager of any stock shortages.Maintaining all common areas, including lobby areas, toilets, and walkways, clean and free of debris at all times.Reporting any damage, safety hazards, or maintenance requirements to the appropriate Supervisor/Manager. Specifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail.Team-focused.Physically fit and able to carry a 10kg back-mounted vacuum cleaner.Reliable and flexible to work within a rotating roster which involves working 76 hours over a 2-week period. Shifts will be Monday to Sunday, 8.00 am until 4 pm.
