Job details Electrical Trades Locomotive and Wagon Maintenance 8/6 Roster Mackay based work Long term role We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Tradesperson to join our team for ongoing work in the repair and maintenance of locomotives and wagons.
About the Client: Our client is one of Australia's leading rail-based logistics partners, delivering value through customer service, operational excellence, and innovation.
Position/Role Description: Repair and maintain locomotives and wagons within the level of competence.
Work from schematic diagrams and technical drawings to diagnose and solve electrical issues.
Undertake train examinations and operate fixed and mobile plant.
Provide guidance and on-the-job instruction to other staff as required.
Use fixed, portable, and hand machines, utilising hand tools and precision instruments.
Undertake material, tooling, component identification, selection, application, and installation.
Skills/Qualifications: Electrical Trades Certificate.
Ability to interpret schematic drawings.
High level of knowledge of functions, defects, and fault findings with equipment.
Substantial skills in repair, maintenance, and overhaul of machinery.
A current unrestricted 'C' class Drivers licence.
