Role Purpose: Lead, optimise, and inspire as the Workshop Manager at Roddy Engineering.
This vital role reports to the General Manager and oversees a dynamic team, ensuring efficient operations, top-tier quality, and on-time project delivery both on-site and in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of 5 direct reports, including a Workshop Supervisor, Weld/QA Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Stores Coordinator, and Site Supervisor. Mentor and coach team members to foster growth and accountability. Conduct performance appraisals and career development plans. Operational Excellence: Coordinate resources and schedules to optimise job outcomes. Oversee job planning, equipment maintenance, and workshop flow. Ensure ISO compliance and workplace safety. Develop scalable systems to eliminate single points of failure. Promote a culture of excellence and innovation. About You: Proven leadership and coaching experience in workshop or project management.
