Environmental Scientist/Contaminated Land Consultant Robson Environmental, established in 1990, is a Canberra-based consultancy within a multi-disciplinary team covering hazmat, environmental assessment & remediation, occupational hygiene, workplace safety, and NATA accredited laboratories. We have NATA accreditation for our hazmat surveying.
Robson Environmental is currently developing broader interests within the Environmental Science space and is looking for professionals for Senior roles within our contaminated land, assessment, and remediation section.
The Role
We are interested in hearing from degree-qualified individuals with a proven track record in this discipline with 3+ years of professional experience. The contaminated land assessment role will involve undertaking Project Management responsibilities specific to Phase 1 and 2 environmental investigations, remediation projects, and management plans. This role would include directing junior staff as required and working closely with the team manager.
It is envisaged that this opportunity will suit individuals with excellent interpersonal, project management, time management, and report writing skills.
We are interested in talking with Environmental Science professionals that can bring diversity to the team, including hydrogeology, geotechnics, and auditing.
Overtime/time in lieu paid at penalty rates. Consideration will be given to a re-location allowance for interstate applicants.
The successful candidate will have tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in Geology, Soil Science, Hydrology, etc. In addition, it is essential that candidates hold a current driver's license and it is desirable for the candidate to hold an ACT / NSW Asbestos Assessors certification. Applicants must reside in Australia and hold residency.
Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded: Project management, desktop studies (Phase 1); sampling plan and project design; vapour, soil and water sampling from boreholes/test pits; the installation and monitoring of groundwater/vapour wells; and supervision of drilling and earthmoving contractors.
