JOB OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our business services team based in our Brisbane office . We are ideally looking for someone that is seeking personal mentorship, wants hands-on training with their managers/partner, and wants to accelerate their career development. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting services to a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate should also have an interest in mentoring our most junior team members.
Responsibilities will include:
Prepare financial statements for all entity types Conduct financial analysis to identify trends or irregularities in client accounts Assist clients with tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Collaborate with clients to resolve any accounting-related issues or discrepancies Provide recommendations on improving financial processes for clients' businesses Stay updated on changes in accounting standards or regulations that may affect clients' operations Involvement in tax advisory work including restructures, access to small business CGT concessions, inter-generational wealth transfer strategies, and tax consolidation if desired ABOUT YOU?
Our ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Commenced or eligible to commence CA or CPA program Proven experience working as an Accountant in an Australian public practice firm is highly desirable (minimum 2-3 years) Strong proficiency in using accounting software systems Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis Experience with tax compliance, including preparation of tax returns Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent problem-solving skills with curiosity Effective communication skills, both written and verbal WHY ROBERTS + MORROW?
