What you'll do:
As an Investment Associate, your role will be multifaceted with responsibilities ranging from growing a network of advisors to managing existing portfolios.
You will be at the forefront of assessing potential lending transactions, ensuring they align with the firm's investment criteria, risk appetite, and return objectives.
Your ability to independently lead investment processes will be crucial in this role.
Additionally, you will play a supportive role in designing marketing materials and engaging in investor activities.
Staying abreast with market trends and industry developments will also form an integral part of your role.
Proactively grow a network of advisors and deal referrers that expand the firm's origination platform.
Assess the feasibility and suitability of potential lending transactions based on investment criteria, risk appetite, and return objectives.
Prepare and present initial credit analysis and recommendations to senior team members.
Independently lead investment processes including structuring and negotiating deals.
Manage an existing portfolio of loans tracking loan performance.
Support in the design and production of marketing, investor materials and investor activity.
Identify and suggest potential improvements to internal processes and compliance.
Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities within the Australian private debt sector.
What you bring:
The ideal Investment Associate brings a wealth of experience from the financial sector along with a strong educational background.
With at least 5 years' experience in credit fund management or corporate advisory roles, you are adept at navigating complex financial landscapes.
Your exceptional communication skills complement your high attention to detail, enabling you to deliver clear reports identifying key messages or credit risks.
Your strategic thinking abilities coupled with strong stakeholder management skills make you an asset to any team.
A commitment towards continuous learning is also highly valued.
Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in finance or accountancy) Minimum 5 years' experience in a credit fund, corporate advisory, corporate restructuring or loan workout experience.
High level of attention to detail with excellent written and spoken communication skills Ability to think strategically Strong report writing skills; able to identify key message/credit risks clearly.
