Our client is looking for Software Engineers to join the Digital Transformation Program to work across several data and analytics platforms.
We are seeking candidates with strong experience in developing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes, and/or the development of data products and complex data visualisations.
We are seeking a proficient Software Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies, .NET development, and experience in integrating applications and data pipelines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimising solutions involving web applications, Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, and data integration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Application Development: Experience with Web Apps, Azure Function Apps, and Logic Apps.
Data Integration: Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and data pipeline development.
Data Storage: Knowledge of Azure SQL preferred: Data Lake Storage, and Unity Catalog.
Cloud Architecture: Familiarity with Azure Cloud Architecture and best practices for data integration.
Analytics: Basic understanding of tools such as Azure Databricks (preferred).
Development Tools
Experience with Visual Studio and VS Code for .NET and web application development.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile project management.
Programming and Scripting Languages
Preferred: Proficiency in Python for data workflows.
Web Application Development
Proven ability to create and maintain scalable, secure web applications for enterprise use.
Experience in integrating .STAT Suite with Azure services, including data pipelines and application development.
Data Pipelines and ETL/ELT Processes
Experience developing robust pipelines to ingest and transform data from Unity Catalog using Azure Data Factory.
Skills in optimising pipelines for performance and scalability.
Data Preparation and Management
Proficiency in working with data formats such as Parquet and Delta for analytics use cases.
Ability to design and maintain APIs to support dynamic data requirements.
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in .NET and Azure application development, including Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Web Apps.
Proven ability to design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, with a preference for candidates experienced in integrating data from Unity Catalog.
Experience working collaboratively within agile development teams and with DevOps practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex integration challenges.
