Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Tax Analyst to join their dynamic family office. This role will provide comprehensive tax support across a diverse portfolio of investments, entities, and individual client needs. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, drive tax efficiencies, and act as a trusted advisor for our stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include: Review of Income Tax Returns and supporting information prepared by the finance team. Preparation and timely lodgement of Income Tax returns with the ATO. Managing indirect tax compliance, including GST and FBT compliance. Ensuring that tax liabilities are paid on time to prevent interest and penalties being incurred. Manage the preparation and filing of foreign resident withholding tax calculations and returns. Assist with preparation of tax effect accounting entries. Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies when required. Manage tax reviews, audits and engagement with various tax and revenue authorities. Work with relevant internal stakeholders to implement and improve end-to-end tax processes and procedures. Proactively manage tax risk by identifying key tax risk areas and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Assist with ad hoc projects and provide technical tax advice to the business. Experience and Qualifications: Ideally be CA/CPA with a Degree in Accounting, Finance or Law. 4-6 years' experience in a tax role at a large accounting firm or large corporate with extensive experience and technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes. Experience with ATO assurance reviews, and design and implementation of tax governance frameworks highly desired. "Hands On" ability is essential in order to become fully acquainted with everything the position has to offer, as well as the ability to communicate and relate with staff on all levels.
