Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive multi-year projects, leading large and complex initiatives from business case through all execution phases to completion.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that partners with divisions across the organisation to deliver strategic initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about project management within the financial services sector.
What you'll do: Drive multi-year projects from inception to completion Work within a dynamic team delivering strategic initiatives Scope, plan and lead delivery activities across nominated projects, including detailed planning of milestones, deliverables and tasks. Engage effectively with stakeholders and manage project resources on a day-to-day basis. Monitor and report on progress to plan in terms of scope, schedule, costs and change management activities. Manage risks issues and dependencies; initiate corrective actions and maintain visibility, escalating to project governance bodies when appropriate. Manage change or deviation from the plan with appropriate governance. Maximise efficient allocation of resources and skills within the project. Adhere to the organisation's project management standards for key activities including status reporting, project finance management, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement and governance. What you bring: Extensive project management experience with demonstrated experience in managing regulatory projects and technical projects within financial services. High proficiency in building partnerships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Excellent skills in the use of agile techniques. Exceptional communication, presentation and facilitation skills with a highly professional approach. Experience in vendor, contract management and procurement of digital solutions. Program management experience is highly desirable.
