What you'll do:As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the overall financial function of the organisation. Your excellent skills in financial management will be utilised in overseeing various finance functions such as payroll, ATO reports, audit committee reports, budget forecasting, and operational budget management. You will prepare regular financial and management reports for key stakeholders while also managing cashflow and investments. Your attention to detail will be crucial in performing regular reconciliations and verifications of bank accounts. Additionally, you will manage membership invoices and run fortnightly payrolls. Collaborating with external auditors to deliver annual audits and financial statements will also form part of your responsibilities.
Manage and oversee all finance functions including payroll, ATO reports, audit committee reports, budget forecasting, and management of operational budget. Prepare regular financial and management reports for the CEO, Board and support audit functions. Manage cashflow and investments and authorise payments. Perform regular reconciliation and verification of bank accounts. Produce and distribute membership invoices. Run fortnightly payroll and carry out all associated tasks with staff movements. Work with external auditors on the delivery of annual audits and financial statements. Manage the budget process including reporting monthly against budget.
What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position will bring relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting along with membership of CPA/IPA. You should have at least five years' experience in managing a small organisation's accounting, tax, and statutory compliance requirements. Your proven track record in financial account management, analysis, and reporting processes will be highly valued. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work with limited supervision. Experience in operating accounting software packages (Xero) and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is required. Experience in running a payroll function will also be beneficial.
