The Procurement and Contracts Officer is an expert in the field, working with minimal supervision. This role involves overseeing and providing detailed, accurate guidance on procurement policies, procedures, and contract management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, along with a solid understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
APS6 to EL1 Procurement Advisor (multiple) Australian Citizens Only What you'll do:
Support project delivery through risk management, performance reporting, and continuous improvements. Advise on contract variations, support high-risk tender documentation, and participate in dispute resolution. Develop and maintain contract management systems, ensuring compliance with policies. Provide procurement and contract management advice to business areas. Oversee the tender and contract processes, ensuring transparency and professionalism. Contribute expert advice on procurement strategy to ensure compliance with regulations. Focus on continuous improvement, supporting procurement strategies, and data analysis to inform decision-making. Foster strong business partnerships, developing innovative procurement strategies to achieve value for money and best practices. What you bring:
Experience in compliance, governance, and reporting, driving continuous improvement through data analysis. Expertise in governance management, change control, and quality management within complex environments. Ability to work independently, providing timely, high-quality advice and decisions in a dynamic setting. Strong knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), CCS, procurement panels, and VFM principles. Proven track record advising on procurement and contract management across diverse stakeholders and functions. Skilled in writing clear, concise briefing materials and responses for senior executives and Senate hearings. Effective in stakeholder engagement and ensuring procurement alignment across diverse groups. High digital literacy with proficiency in MS Suite, SAP, and P2P, using digital tools to drive productivity. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
