Job Description If you are keen to be part of our multinational organisation with diverse backgrounds, different experiences and different areas of expertise, where your skills and talents will be recognised, we have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity available for a Purchasing Officer to contribute to the operational success of the Purchasing department. Our Purchasing team is located in Kings Park, North-West of Sydney with branch offices in other states around Australia.
Position Purpose Creation & Maintenance of Purchase orders (Project, Stock & Service related Orders) Engage in supplier development and negotiation Manage RFQ's & Tendering process Monitor and expedite orders to meet deadlines. Specific Tasks Creation of Purchase orders using SAP on a daily basis Obtaining quotes, managing RFQ's and supplier negotiations Creation and maintenance of Purchase order confirmations, In-transit records and preparing paperwork for goods receiving department for all overseas shipments Liaising with suppliers, internal stakeholders, customs brokers & freight forwarders on a regular basis Keep all internal stakeholders updated on the progress of all outstanding orders Pro-actively manage delivery delays or stock accuracy issues Maintaining supplier portfolio and pricelists Making critical decisions on the mode of transport for material required for stock and customer orders from all overseas suppliers Conducting supplier evaluation and audits Creation of Indirect category Purchase Orders, sourcing & strategy implementation Purchase Order Administration and cost control. Qualifications Proven experience in Purchasing for at least 2-3 years Graduates with experience in Purchasing Experience within a technical or engineering company Strong communication skills - clearly conveying information and ideas in both verbal and written formats A strong team focus and personal work ethic Formal qualifications in a commercial, engineering or purchasing specific discipline expected High proficiency in Excel expected Experience with Contract Management desired Additional Information We offer our employees :
