A bit about the role As a Road Safety Officer with Wyndham City Council, you will provide effective and efficient education and enforcement of legislation relating to parking and road safety. You will also engage with the community to promote community safety as it relates to parking and road safety, including responding to customer requests regarding illegal parking.
What you will do Provide guidance, advice, and assistance to drivers in relation to parking compliance mattersTake appropriate enforcement action where contraventions of parking legislation are identifiedRespond promptly to customer requests relating to illegal parkingPatrol and supervise school crossings as rostered or requiredPresent evidence in the Magistrates Court as requiredAccurately record correspondence, notes, and evidence in Council's systemsWhat you will bring Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent), or willingness to obtainPrevious experience in a parking compliance or regulatory role (Desirable)Demonstrated experience in a dynamic, customer-focused roleGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and general IT proficiency, including an electronic infringement issuing deviceThe ability to interpret and apply relevant legislationExcellent time management and communication skillsCurrent Victorian Driver's LicenseA continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitudeWhat's next?
