You will also be able to support thecivil maintenance team safely, and effectively direct trafficthrough and around designated work sites.What can you bring to the team?Previous experience in road maintenance environmentCurrent unrestricted "MR" (medium rigid) classdriver's licence.White Card – Work safe in the constructionindustry.Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation inBasic Worksite Traffic Management.Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation inTraffic Control.Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plansand specifications.Be competent in the use of concrete cutters, foot stamper,plate compactor, road making plant, general construction toolsand equipment.Ability to undertake basic survey levelling andre-pegging.Knowledge of bitumen repair techniques, methods, andquality control procedures.Patching potholes and cracks in the road surfaceInspecting roads for signs of damage or wear and tearSafe operation and user maintenance of plant andequipment.Ability to work independently and with limitedsupervision.Customer service and decision-making skills.Verbal and written literacy and numerical skills.As part of our recruitment process, you will be required toparticipate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drugand alcohol testing.The finer detailsThis permanent full-time OSE Level 3 position has a salary ofbetween $70,333 - $72,950 dependent on qualifications andexperience.
