In this role you will be responsible for the delivery, evaluation and ongoing improvement of the aggression and violence prevention and management program (Code Grey) at Women's and Children's Hospital.Targeting aggression and violence prevention, this role plays a crucial part in providing clinical expertise to co-ordinate rapid response to situations of anticipated risk or danger by a person towards themselves, other people, staff members, visitors, or property.This role is rostered over 7 days and indicative shift times are between 9am and 10.30pm.Key Responsibilities:Coordination of Code Grey programs, projects and service; including timely and appropriate response, managing code grey incidents and leading governance of Code Grey across the organisation.Collaborating with stakeholders across WCHN to review, improve and implement the policy and procedures on Code Grey.Leading and contributing specific expertise to the development of relevant evidence-based nursing/midwifery practice guidelines.Conducting post-incident evaluation, and where required effective complex discharge planning, with the involved teams to identify areas for improvement, implement strategies to enhance future responses and provide patients with education, equipment and referral.Active participation in leadership, management, and practice development related to violence and aggression management in the clinical setting.What WCHN Can Offer YouRelocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia.)Free public transport for SA Health Metropolitan Hospital workers to and from the Women's and Children's Hospital.
