About The role The Risk Specialist supports the Chief Legal Counsel to lead the implementation of WWF-Australia's risk transformation, building upon existing risk data collection and monitoring processes to ensure the organisation effectively manages risk by engaging positive accountability, empowerment and coaching. The role is also responsible for managing WWF's insurance portfolio. Key Accountabilities (Refer to PD for full list of Key Accountabilities) Works jointly with the Chief Legal Counsel to define and embed roles and responsibilities for risk management across the organisation. Partners with teams across WWF, develops effective risk management tools and delivers training to implement best practice risk management, including at conservation program and project level. Supports the finalisation and implementation of WWF's risk appetite statement. Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Refer to PD for full list of Key Accountabilities) Demonstrated experience in risk management which denotes a high degree of specialised expertise/knowledge of risk. Demonstrated experience in the conduct of negotiating and managing complex insurance coverage which denotes a breadth of knowledge gained through formal and on-the-job training.
