Your opportunity Westfield Geelong is the home to some of Australia's most well-known retailers with approximately 160 specialty stores. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Risk & Security Manager to join Westfield Geelong. This leadership role is focused on directing the living destination's risk and security management functions, providing the optimal level of security and safety for our team, business partners and customers.
Day to day, you'll be responsible for: Proactively planning and delivering priorities from our Safety Framework, providing a safe and secure environment that exceeds customer expectations, whilst promoting safety as an integral part of the customer experience.Proactively managing, reporting, and responding to hazard identification, incidents, emergencies, near misses and claims.Managing safety audits and inspection programs.Managing compliance with all security and health & safety policies, procedures, & practices.Managing external contract partners and the security team.Developing strong relationships and working with local Police, WHS Regulators, Fire Brigade and Ambulance Services to develop operational and emergency protocols.As a part of our asset team, you'll also have duty management responsibilities, where you'll be required to work a weekend shift (on a roster), which will be balanced with a day in lieu.
What sets you apart? You'll have excellent risk management experience, partnered with a strong background in security, and a passion for retail property. Technically, you'll also have the following skills and experience:
Qualification or related experience in Work Health and Safety.A strong background in leading risk management and security.Demonstrated ability to mitigate & manage risk, manage incident response, reporting, authority interaction and insurance claims management.Experience and technical knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems, and visitor and contractor management systems.About us Scentre Group owns 42 Westfield destinations across Australia and New Zealand.
