Risk & Safety Specialist

Provide support to Motorserve staff aligned to the Safety, Health & Wellbeing framework. Also supporting risk identification, management & reviews.
We are looking for a Risk & Safety Specialistto join our team on a fixed 6 month contract with a view to full time permanent based in Sydney.
Responsibilities:SafetyIdentify risk management opportunities and partner with business to develop and implement sustainable solutions.Provide specialist advice and manage Injury Management to support the wellness of the workforce.Proactively manage claims to achieve the most cost effective and safe outcome by identifying and managing return to work of individual claims.Conduct specific audits/assessments and reports and provide follow up support for business leaders to develop and implement safety risk management plans.Operational RiskSupport risk identification, management, review, mitigation and reporting alongside business owners aligned to the IAG / Motorserve Risk Management Strategy, Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement.Support the development and implementation of the Risk management strategy, Risk frameworks and methodology to increase operational risk maturity.Provide assurance to the interactions we have with our customers to ensure they are receiving service aligned to the correct processes and policy information through associated risk activity.Facilitates risk profiling activity along the operational business unit owners and managers.Regularly review & update relevant information in systems which includes but not limited to risk profiles, compliance register, conflict of interest register and control testing outcomes.Participates in program monitoring and ensures greater visibility over partnerships to enable risk based decisions.Requirements:Tertiary qualification/s in Work, Health and Safety and or Risk Management or associated fields.Relevant industry experience and or specialist qualifications.Frequent travel required to various sites across Sydney (using own vehicle, KM's reimbursement).Ad-hoc travel may be required to our NSW Regional (Bathurst & Dubbo), ACT & Townsville sites.Demonstrated ability to liaise, advise and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders including management, staff, industrial organisations and external agencies on safety and protective security issues.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong time management and prioritisation skills.Experience in General insurance or financial services industry, and exposure to risk management or compliance role (Desirable).Join us for a career with MotorserveIf you love cars as much as we do, supercharge your automotive career by joining the team at Motorserve.
