MYER is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Risk & Safety Advisor who will be responsible for building, implementing, and operating the safety program for the newly developed NDC site, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, and implementing best practice safety protocols across the site operations. You will also provide safety leadership and support across all Supply Chain sites, managing workplace safety risk, ensuring implementation of the safety management system and monitoring compliance. A key focus of the role is coaching, mentoring and development of safety capabilities across our entire supply chain. About the role: Developing, implementing and maintaining health and safety procedures for the site in accordance with the Myer Safety Management System and compliant with self-insurance license obligationsProviding guidance, advice, and support to operational managers and team members to ensure a safe working environmentConducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazardsDeveloping and delivering safety training and awareness programs to improve safety culture and reduce incidentsManage response and reporting procedures concerning significant hazards, injuries and incidents to ensure accurate and timely response and reportingDeveloping and implementing emergency response plansReporting to Head of Risk, Safety and Wellbeing on safety performance and trendsLiaising with external regulators, auditors, and stakeholders on safety mattersKeeping up to date with changes in safety legislation and best practices, and recommending improvements to safety policies and proceduresAbout you: Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and SafetyHolds a Diploma of WHS or equivalent Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the warehouse and logistics industriesKnowledge of state WHS legislation and regulationsExperience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigationsStrong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skillsAbility to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated ability to develop and implement site safety procedures, and training programsExperience in emergency response planningProven change and project management skills.Experience in Safety Auditing, with experience conducting audits desirableFamiliar with automation technologies - desirableBenefits to you: Generous team member discounts on all Myer products, including team-member exclusive discountsAccess to lifestyle leave and volunteer leave – arrange work around your life, not life around work!A supportive leadership and team network to set you up for successCareer growth and succession opportunities across the businessWe'd love to hear from you even if you don't meet all the criteria listed above.
