About the job We're looking for a Risk Domain expert to join our Customer Advisory (CA) practice where your role will inform and drive customer engagements for SAS' credit risk management solutions in banking and non-banking financial service institutions (FSIs), superannuation and wealth management. With expertise in financial and credit risk management best practices, you will partner with Account Executives (AEs) to create a vision for customers based on our proven ability to deliver value. Your ability to understand a customer's needs and demonstrate thought leadership by crafting and communicating a compelling vision for improved credit risk management will be key to your and team's success.
You will be recognised as a credit risk subject matter expert who understands the credit modelling lifecycle (model design, development, deployment, validation and governance) and the mortgage/consumer lending business at a financial institution (origination through to decisioning).
What you will do Help customers innovate and execute their vision as to how they will improve business, customer and community outcomes.Foster relationships with clients at project and stakeholder levels to ensure SAS is always intimately aware of customer's needs, letting us work with customers to solve key business challenges.Develop, maintain and enhance technical solution demonstration and operational capabilities for the credit risk management and decisioning solutions using defined customer business and operational use cases.Demonstrate to executive, business and technical audiences how SAS' solutions are uniquely positioned to address their requirements.Analyse business requirements during the sales cycle to produce a detailed solution RFI or RFP and high-level solution design supporting customer's business case development and to support the implementation team as a subject matter expert (SME); play an active role in helping to size the platform (Cloud) based on the business requirements.Understand and price credit risk solutions as part of a proposal (i.e. Request for Information (RFI) or request for Proposal (RFP)).Map out an enterprise-wide view of a customers' risk strategy, understanding people, process and technology to determine how SAS can best support delivering against that strategy.Maintain your status as a recognised subject matter and technical expert by continuing to develop a strong detailed knowledge of credit risk, including evolving domestic and international markets; maintain and expand knowledge of how SAS' solutions to meet the evolving needs of the market.Conduct regular internal enablement sessions for new products, enhancements or domain.Represent SAS at conferences and industry events to enable our marketing and sales strategy to be realised. Design content and run Round Tables, present SAS insight, use cases, market trends and draft white papers to publish through a range of social media channels.Collaborate with SAS Research and Development (R&D) teams and Product Management to support the development of the SAS roadmap for future solutions for credit risk management.Required Qualifications 5+ years' experience working as a Subject Matter Expert in credit risk analytics, credit modelling (Technical/Analytics), business credit decisioning process, consumer lending process and loan products.Hands-on experience with solutions, configuration, demonstrations and presentations to different stakeholders; experience in designing and implementing risk solutions that leverage analytics, credit and impairment models, business rules management and process automation and workflow.Model design and development experience in any modern language (SAS, Python, R or other).Ability to work with a global team to ensure global expertise, use cases and other collaterals are leveraged, but also local best practice is shared with global peers.Awareness and experience with regulatory developments (APRA, regional and international prudential standards) and guidelines for credit risk, capital adequacy and management.Strong technical, business facilitation and communication skills in English language although other languages are a benefit.Ability to understand, articulate and influence user business requirements to desired outcomes.Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Actuarial, Computer Science/Engineering or other quantitative field.Ability to travel interstate and international when required.You're curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
