To deliver a risk management program which develops organisational risk maturity and embeds a culture of risk management in organisational thinking.
What you'll be doing: Develop and maintain a robust business continuity program which prepares the organisation to respond to significant business impact.
Deliver work in line with the Risk Management Framework.
Develop and maintain organisational Strategic and Operational risk registers.
Facilitate regular review and testing of the Business Continuity Plan to support organisational resilience.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain appropriate levels of organisational insurances.
Report regularly to ELT, Council, and the Audit & Risk Committee on the overall risk management program.
Respond as needed to Audit and Risk Committee, internal and external audit requirements.
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in risk management and business continuity systems thinking.
Ability to review, interpret, and advise upon contracts, agreements, policies, procedures, and standards.
Experience in reporting to senior management, presenting insights and analysis of data.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards.
A strong working knowledge or experience leading Business Continuity Programs is highly desired.
An ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop risk maturity across the organisation is essential.
Advanced political acumen, negotiation, and collaboration capabilities - ability to work within a large organisation and develop cross-functional working relationships to gain cooperation of colleagues.
High level communication, engagement, and liaison skills, including advanced oral and written skills for preparation of correspondence, reports, documentation, and presentation of information.
Required Certifications & Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a Risk Management or related discipline with relevant experience, or less formal qualifications and substantial relevant experience.
