Marcellin College, a leading Catholic boy's school, presents an opportunity for a dynamic Risk & Compliance Officer to join our team on either a part-time (0.8) or full-time ongoing basis in 2025.
This pivotal role drives impactful governance, risk and compliance awareness initiatives and management practices across the College.
Key Success Factors Our students are at the heart of all we do, and this is reflected in our purpose: Strive For The Highest. Working in partnership with all teams within the College, the Risk & Compliance Officer reviews, implements and maintains policies and procedures required to effectively manage risk and compliance obligations, particularly in the areas of Complaints Handling, Work Health and Safety and Child Safeguarding. The officer proactively implements changes to reflect evolving legislation, policy or industry standards.
The Risk and Compliance Officer also manages the College's risk and compliance system.
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A willingness to uphold the vision and values of Marcellin CollegeCurrent Police and Working with Children Check (or a willingness to obtain them)A tertiary degree in business, risk and compliance management, or workplace health and safetyMemberships in relevant professional bodiesSignificant experience as a risk advisor or in risk management within a matrix environmentProven experience implementing governance, compliance and risk systems including associated softwareThe ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to meet deadlinesA deep understanding of risk management and its application in complex organisationsExperience in driving change in safety, risk and compliance strategiesThe ability to maintain professional confidentiality regarding College informationStrong proficiency in both written and verbal communication alongside polished presentation skills.For further information and details regarding Key Result Areas, Qualifications and Experience, please review the Position Description.
