About the role
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Risk & Compliance Officer will be responsible for providing expert OH&S, Risk, Compliance, Records Management and Emergency Management advice to facilitate the best practice across the College.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Risk and compliance
Online risk and compliance systems
Occupational health and safety
Policy review and development
Maintenance of Risk registers
Preparation of reports on risk, compliance and incidents
Skills and experience
An awareness of, and commitment to the College's aims as a Catholic College
A demonstrated commitment to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children
Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation as it applies to the educational setting
Experience in system development and maintenance
Previous experience in policy creation
Knowledge of Risk Management processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of Injury Management requirements as they apply to an educational setting
Collegial approach to managing OH&S, fostering understanding and ownership
Strong communication skills and confidence to present to groups of people
A valid Working with Children Check and Police Check
