About the role:The Risk Assessment Analyst reports to the Payments Risk Team Lead. They will play a key role in assessing brand reputation, compliance, fraud, and financial risk to determine risk exposure on new and existing merchants and take an appropriate course of action ensuring policies are adhered to.
What you'll do:Risk assess and decision applications for new/additional merchant facilities and other linked products, in line with policies and procedures.Risk assess material in-life change events associated with merchant facilities and other linked products, in line with policies and procedures.Maintain ongoing communication with sales and account management colleagues regarding risk assessment decisions and liaise with customers as applicable.Engage in cross training to support other payments risk functions such as chargebacks and fraud management.Participate in Risk Management projects as required.Risk assess eCommerce opportunities and understand the risks associated with different eCommerce transactions.What you'll bring:Experience in acquiring, or an ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of the acquiring context if experience is less than one year.A sound understanding of the mechanics of card payments.Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and an ability to embrace internal and external systems associated with merchant acquiring and chargebacks management.An ability to work autonomously.Organised and able to meet deadlines.Perks and BenefitsWe've worked hard to create an environment that's big on diversity, inclusion, and flexibility, and one that suits the changing needs of our people across Australia.
